The're BACK

So since the NBA did not want them, Danny Green, Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington are all back at Chaple Hill. Its funny because they were all "so great" at UNC but once in the real arena there were no takers-meaning they are NOT THAT good. The real funny thing is, the same UNC fanz who dismissed them for possibly leaving early (ie yelling at them on campus) will be chanting "OH WE BACK" and "NATIONAL CHAMPIONS" now that they have come back. Amazing how quickly they can turn 180 degrees.
Now the heels will not shut up until once again they are denied a National Championship.

Here we go again

Just as I suspected, because some dorky analyst last week said oil "could reach 150 a barrel by July 4th the weekend when MILLIONS of Americans WILL take to the road" not only did it go up the next morning (thanx speculators) today it just went over 140 a barrel. I have determined that if someone be it an analyst or speculator says that prices "could go higher" then they will go higher-all it takes is to just say it and it will happen.
Here is an idea- say "I BELIEVE OIL WILL BE BELOW 90.00 a barrel by August because Americans are being pinched and they are driving a lot less than the last 20 years"-I wonder what SPECULATORS would do then......

side note:
USAToday reported that "retail sales increased by 1% in May giving hope to the market and ANALYSTS are saying that "this shows that the Presidents Stimulus package is WORKING."

Orly??? ONE PERCENT is showing the stimulus package is working?

Get back to me in July when we are being gouged at the pump for 6.00 a gallon and no one is buying anything except for food cause WE CANT AFFORD anything else.

I just wonder at what point do SPECULATORS/Analysts go "hey, man we cant keep raising prices like this or we could RUIN OUR OWN ECONOMY"

Gas

Not starting an argument-cause I am not on here very much. So if you want to argue go somwhere else. This is just food for thought :) One mans opinion if yu will.
This is getting redunkulus though. On Friday just cause some silly Morgan Stanly analyst says that oil COULD go to 150.00 by July 4th-the market shot up $11.00. So all it takes now is for someone to say something COULD happen and oil is gonna go up. Nevermind that there was no solid evidence for this (picture him sitting in a room full of suits and smoking cigars and he looks at a compatriot and says) "Ya know Jeevs, the July 4th weekend is a comin-we could see oil hit 150 a barrel cause all americans will take to the road and Asias market is demanding more gas"
so some speculator hears this and runs with it. Next thing you know-oil shoots up on that. I mean normally oil rises on supply concerns or the usual Nigerian possible attack on a pipline (things that I still want PROOF of, btw I thought pipelines were burried-how can u attack a burried pipeline with a machine gun?) but to raise prices just cause someone says it MAY be at such and such, here is a little advice-next time say-"ya know demand is down in the US by 2.4 percent, maybe by August after the height of driving season oil could be DOWN to $88 dollars a barrel-see what the speculators do with THAT one.
So gas has slowly been going up but now because of this it will SOAR 15 cents in two days.
WEENING us to 4.00 so next year THEY will ween us to 5.00 then 6.00 and so on.
Gas could really be 1.50 now. There is plenty of supply according to the United Arab Emiterates (sp).
From 1975 to 2000 gas was avg $.69~$1.45
2001 Gas was avg $1.50~$1.85
2008 $3.93-$4.01
I still dont see how Asians and Chinas demand can seem to be so high-did everyone just turn 18 and start driving in one day?

Alltel-Chad loses

Well once again the peons (read people) are getting screwed by some corporate takeover. I have been with ALLTEL since it started out and have never had any issues. I CHOSE Altell not any other company. Now VERIZON has come in and bought Alltel so just as I was with Time Warner when they switched DVR carriers (thats another story)without asking the people that PAY the bill, so has Alltel. I did not CHOOSE Verizon, but now I will be stuck with them-meaning likely higher bills and cruddier service. So Alltel has been losing money for a year or two-that is no reason to sell out your CUSTOMERS. But thats the way it is in this GREAT COUNTRY of ours-the consumer gets stuck in the end.

Gas

Downtown today gas at non big oil companies was anywhere from 3.84-3.86
coming back to work though-Exxon at Six Forks and Lassiter $3.98
Exxon at Six Forks and Millbrook $3.99
BP at Six Forks and Newton $3.98
DONT BUY GAS FROM EXXON OR BP-go somewhere else where its a little cheaper.
Absolutely no reason to pay fourteen cents more a gallon if you can avoid it.

Ugh, this heat

This is why I do not like when it gets excessivley hot. I swear I only got three hours of sleep last night. My house is at 75 but upstairs is more like 80 and throw in the fact that at 11pm last night it was still 84 outside, even with a fan on and NO covers-it was sweat sleep. I even ran cold water on a washcloth and ran that over me to get a "windchill" effect, but that barely helped.
ugh-

Here Comes The HEAT!!

Welcome to Raleigh where one day it can be 80 degrees the next day 92. The FISCHEL forecast for the next 5 days is calling for temps from 95 to 98 degrees. Kinda strange for this early in June but then again we did not have but one day in May that reached 90. That in and of itself is some kind of record.
OH NOES GLOBAL WARMING!!! Was it not hot last year in June for about a week then all of July was below normal and then August was above?? Just weather in the south-yes it stinks. I already am looking forward to fall and winter!
